In Acts 1:8 Jesus is giving final instructions to his disciples prior to his ascension. 

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

He explains that the Holy Ghost is going to give them power to be witnesses starting first in Jerusalem, then in all Judea, and in Samaria, and ultimately to the uttermost part of the earth.

These are the historic facts wrought by the Jewish Messiah to his original followers, and they obviously accomplished their mission. Yet, in the last days, a large remnant of Jewish witnesses shall also do the very same thing, reaching from Jerusalem unto the uttermost parts of the planet earth. 

Until then, in keeping with the inspiration of these commands, we too seek to go out from our field of origin into our local area, to our State, and to our Country, ultimately reaching out to the uttermost parts of the earth. This is the great project before us and the impetus for our mission agency, PROJECT ONE8, operating in accord with our local church body – the First Baptist Church of Jackson.
